In February we went from this moderate conservation to strong conservation. We take daily showers - boys get one minute in the low flow shower, girls get two. Toilets are flushed once daily or when "brown" I estimate six flushes a day total. I use gray water from my aquarium or dishwashing to flush toilets - just fill a bucket with a gallon and pour it in the toilet at the right speed and it will flush down, then when the chugging stops refill the bowl to a normal level. Or pour gray water into the tank when it is refilling - that involves taking the lid on and off so it is less convenient. This brought us down to 60 gallons a day for the entire family.
Now it's time for a BIG complaint. I have absolutely no financial incentive to do this. My water bill is about ten dollars a month for the water and thirty five dollars fixed service charge just to have a 1" pipe coming in. My conservation efforts are saving me really chump change. They should somehow credit my conservation efforts against the big fixed charge that takes up 80% of my conservation bill.
По-моему, ему необходима срочная психиатрическая помощь. Или CPC за жестокое обращение с детьми? Минута на душ! Это же относится еще к одному персонажу, которая с гордостью писала в газете, что собирает в ведро воду из душа, пока вода нагревается, и потом использует эту воду для полива. Обидно, что люди абсолютно не представляют себе примерных масштабов, куда и сколько расходуется воды, и чего можно и нельзя добиться такой "экономией".
